The Registroid Cloud app will run on almost any Android phone or tablet, version 2.2 and above, with the Android Market installed.
Version 2.1 devices and devices without the Android Market will work, but the Automatic Synchronize will not function. All data must be manually synchronized from the device.
Devices with Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) or greater can use USB peripherals. Currently, the Registroid Cloud support USB receipt printers. These must be connected using a special USB OTG (On The Go) or USB Host Mode adapter (pictured on the right).
We have the following test devices here at Registroid:
- HTC EVO 4G phone
- HTC Hero
- Motorola Xoom 10" tablet
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 7"
- Vizio VTAB1008 tablet

Inventory items can only be added from the back office.
Items can be changed in the Cash Register app, which will then be synchronized to the back office if the device is online.
The back office displays and tracks the quantity on hand of items. This value is subtracted each time an item is sold, and updated to the back office at the end of the transaction if the device is online.
The item maintenance screen can be viewed in demo mode by starting our Demo Login mode from the main screen.

|
Customers can be added or changed on either the back office or the cash register app. Any changes are synchronized to all devices that are online.
Item sales for each customer can be displayed using the Customer Sales Detail report in the back office.
The customer maintenance screen can be viewed in demo mode by starting our Demo Login mode from the main screen.

Loyalty Programs have 2 types:
- Gift Cards
- Rewards Based Purchases
Gift Card Loyalty programs allow your customers to purchase a Gift Card, or a Virtual Gift Card that can be used to purchase any items at your store. It's used just as any other tender of a sale.
You can sell the gift card at a different amount than the face value, if you choose.
For Gift cards you need to setup the following in the Back Office:
- Add a non-taxable department for the Gift Card purchase amount items
- Add at least one item that will be used to sell Gift Card amounts to a customer. These should have the Cost set to the amount to add to the customer's account balance, and the Price is the price of the Gift card. This was you can sell a $20 gift card for $19.00 is you want. Check the "Gift Card Pur." checkbox on these items.
- In the Loyalty Program screen, click the [Next] button with the Loyalty Type set to "Gift Card".
- Fill in the information on the screen. Click the [Item Lookup] button to find Gift Card purchase items to add.
- In the Receipt Data you can enter something like:
-------------------------------
Thank you for using your gift card.
Your balance is %BALANCE%.
-------------------------------
This will show on the receipt when the customer uses their Gift Card.
To use the Gift Card at the Point of Sale:
- To sell a gift card, simply ring up a Gift Card item, enter/add a customer with the [Customer] button, and finalize the sale with Cash, Credit, etc.
- To use the Gift Card, add a [Gift Card] tender key on the keyboard, then simply press the Gift Card tender button. The balance will be used and the defined Receipt Data will be displayed/printed on the receipt. If there is not enough balance to cover the purchase, an additional tender will be required.
